How to Overcome Boredom After “Completing” Minecraft? Players Create a Brand New Game Mode

Although Minecraft has no so-called main storyline or clear completion goal, players have established a commonly accepted ending: defeating the Ender Dragon.

However, over the years, strategies for defeating the Ender Dragon have become increasingly varied. What once seemed quite challenging has now become straightforward, and for many, the true Survival experience begins after defeating the Ender Dragon.

So, what can players do after defeating the Ender Dragon?

As is well known, unlike other games where developers actively introduce new gameplay, Minecraft players typically create their own new ways to play. One such innovation is the “Nomad Mode” developed by a group of players.

Nomad Mode draws inspiration from the nomadic lifestyle of real-life nomadic peoples, characterized by having no fixed home. Therefore, it’s not very suitable for beginners, but for veteran players, it offers a refreshing experience~

Of course, Nomad Mode isn’t simple—it has its own set of rules:

Set the game difficulty to Hard, keep moving forward, and build shelters to stay in for only one night. You cannot stay in the same place for two or more nights!

Sounds interesting, doesn’t it?

Next, let’s share some useful tips for this mode~

First, in any mode, the top priority is finding a place to stay. Given the nature of Nomad Mode, you can build some simple shelters, such as digging three blocks down and covering the top (dig three, fill one), basic box houses, or treehouses.

Another interesting option is the mushroom house. When adventurers pass through forests and see mushrooms, try to gather and stockpile them. At dusk, you can use bone meal to accelerate their growth, using giant mushrooms as makeshift tents. When leaving, you can harvest them all to obtain even more mushrooms—truly getting multiple uses from one mushroom~

Secondly, storage is key. The nomadic nature requires us to carry the most essential and survival-friendly items in the most space-efficient way, while also expanding storage capacity as much as possible.

Let’s talk about what to carry. Since many items are crafted, we can carry raw materials directly. Apart from essential tools, everything else can be crafted on the spot. For example, carry logs instead of processing them into planks!

Furthermore, in nomadic life, we must recognize that no matter how precious an item like the Heart of the Sea or even the Dragon Egg might be, they are not as immediately useful as a set of leather armor!

Now, regarding storage space. The most useful items are undoubtedly the Shulker Boxes collected earlier from battling the Ender Dragon in the End. Also, find a donkey—donkeys can be equipped with chests and serve as mounts, saving you from walking everywhere. This is much more convenient than exploring on foot~

Besides the two points mentioned above, there are tips for many other aspects. We won’t elaborate further, as the true fun of Minecraft stems from the desire to explore.

In summary, Nomad Mode is essentially players adding their own rules for an expedition. It’s suitable for bored players looking to rediscover the fresh joy of exploring the map. If adventurers seek even more thrill, they can try turning on Hardcore mode~
